"Kneeknock Rise" By Natalie Babbitt

Egan is sent to Instep for the fair and is staying at his Aunt Gertrude's house. Instep is know for it's tallest mountain called Kneeknock Rise. On it's peak, on stormy nights when the rain is falling cold and hard and when the wind blows a craeture moans and groans and echoes throgh the village. When hearing th creatures frightening voice and after hearing stories his Aunt Gertrude has told him, Egan's curiosity is drwaing him to find out about this mysterios creature.


This was a very interesting book. I would have to rate it 4 out of5.

Will, a young 12 year old boy has killed a man to save his mother. Will runs away and finds a window, but this was not like any other window. In this window Will finds himself in a total different world. In this strange world he teams up with Lyra, both on a dagerous misson they strike out into this sunlit world. This world called Cittagazze is a very strange world. It is full of soul-eating specters that stalk the streets of Cittagazze and the sound of wingbeats from the angels flying above. In this world lurks the most powerful weapon in the universe. On there journey, Will and Lyra move closer to the greatests threat of all and the truth of their destiny.



This book was the most interesting book I have ever read. This is a good book for people who like to read fantasy books and stuff like thatI would have to rate this book 5 out of 5.

A Blizzard Year is about a girl named Timmy who has just turned thirteen. Timmy lives on her parents ranch in Wyoming with her Grandfather. After a long year of heavy snows, rain, and high winds their ranch has lost many animals. Now with less animals to sell Timmy and her family might lose their ranch. Timmy feels helpless, so Timmythinks of a way to rasie enough money to save their ranch.

" The Door in the Lake" By Nancy Butts

When a 12 year old boy named Joseph Finney disappears from his tent at the national forest he mysteriously returns two years later. Joey can't remember what happened. The strange thing is he doesn't look a day older than the day he left. Joey starts to have strange physical conditions. His doctor says he is leaking brain fluids out of his nose, he starts hearing a voice in his head telling him to go to the door in the lake, theres this ringing in his ears, he has periodic seizers. During these seizers he seems to remember being sucked up into a votex by the lake at the campground. Joey turns to two college students who say they might know what happened to him. Joey doesn't want to except what happened to him. His only choice might be to return to the national forest.


This was a very good book, I could'nt put it down. I would rate this book a 5 out of 5.

"Leepike Ridge" By N.D. Wilson

This book is about a eleven-year old boy named Thomas Hammond. Tom lives next to Leepike Ridge. One day Tom's school teacher Jeffrey comes over for dinner and asks Tom's mom to marry him. tom is so angry that he escapes to a nearby stream on a floating slab of refrigerator packing foam. While floating down the stream Tom falls asleep. When he awakes he finds out that he is at the ridge where Tom is taken to an underground river. In this underground river Tom finds a corpse, a dog, a flashlight, acastaway, a tomb, 4 graves, crawdads and treasure. On his adventure Tom finds out the terrible truth.

"On My Honor"

This book is about a boy named Joel and his best friend Tony. Joel and Tony get permission to go on a bicycle trip to the State Park. On their way Joel dares Tony to a swim race in the dangerous Vermillion River. they were warned by their parent to never go near the river. There has been people who have gone missing in the river. Tony didnt want Joel to think he was scared, so both of them jumped in. Joel and Tony started to race to the sandbar. When Joel reaches the sandbar he turns around. He is stunned, Tony is gone! Now Joel must face the terrible truth.


This book was sad. I woud rate this book a 4 out of 5.
